1. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Etherealness Massage Therapy ("the Therapist", "we", "us", or "our") to clients ("you" or "the Client").
By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Massage therapy services are provided for relaxation, wellbeing, therapeutic support, and general wellness purposes. Massage treatment is not intended to replace medical diagnosis, advice, or treatment provided by a doctor or other healthcare professional.
As this is a home-based practice, clients are requested to respect the privacy and premises of the Therapist.
2. Appointment Booking
Appointments may be made by telephone, text message, email, social media, online booking system, or in person.
Appointments are subject to availability and are only confirmed once accepted by the Therapist.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information at the time of booking.
3. Health Information and Medical Conditions
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding:

Medical conditions
-
Injuries
-
Allergies
-
Pregnancy
-
Medication use
-
Current symptoms
-
Any changes to health status
The Therapist reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment if it is considered unsuitable or potentially unsafe.
4. Consent to Treatment
Massage treatment will only be carried out with the client's informed consent.
Clients may request modifications to treatment or withdraw consent at any point during a session.
Clients under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and written consent may be required.
5. Cancellation and Missed Appointments
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is requested for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in the following charges:

Less than 24 hours' notice: up to 50–100% of appointment fee

Failure to attend without notice ("no-show"): full appointment fee may apply
Fees may be waived at the Therapist's discretion in exceptional circumstances.
6. Late Arrivals
Late arrival may reduce the available treatment time to avoid impacting later appointments.
The full appointment fee may still apply.
7. Fees and Payment
Treatment prices are displayed on current price lists and may be amended at any time.
Payment is due at the end of the appointment unless agreed otherwise.
Accepted payment methods:

Card payment

Outstanding balances must be settled before future appointments are accepted.
8. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are subject to the following conditions:

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase

Gift vouchers must be used before the expiry date shown

Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed or extended unless at the Therapist's discretion

Gift vouchers are non-transferable

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash

Gift vouchers are non-refundable

Lost, damaged, or stolen vouchers may not be replaced
Gift vouchers must be presented at the time of appointment where applicable.
9. Professional Conduct
Massage therapy is a professional service.
Any inappropriate, abusive, aggressive, or sexually suggestive behaviour will result in immediate termination of the treatment session and future appointments may be refused.
Full payment may still be required.
10. Right to Refuse Treatment
The Therapist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where:

Treatment may be unsafe

Required health information has not been disclosed
-
A client appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
Inappropriate behaviour occurs

Treatment is not considered suitable
11. Liability
The Therapist will provide services with reasonable care and professional standards.
Clients are responsible for disclosing relevant health information and following any aftercare advice provided.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where liability cannot legally be excluded under Scottish law.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal information collected during booking and treatment is used for appointment management and treatment purposes only.
All information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Client information will remain confidential except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for safety reasons.

If you have concerns regarding any service provided, please contact:
Complaints will be handled fairly and promptly.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and subject to the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
Client Agreement
By booking and attending an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
